"Ape Canyon Map" risograph print

10.00

In the summer of 1924 three hopeful prospectors set out into the hills of the Cascade Mountains of Washington . Early in their trip the men were warned by natives of "Mountain Devils " living high in the hills , led by a creature known as Yellow Top. The men ignored this warning with confidence, it was only to keep the hills gold hidden. The men built a cabin deep in a canyon high in the mountains . While out exploring caves in the area the men got wind of a smell they couldn't describe . Fear of the natives sent the men back to camp . However the scent stayed with the men on there entire 3 hour hike back . As the men entered the canyon the rock walls of the canyon shook and they caught a glimpse of what they assumed was yellow top , the leader of the Mountain Devils . A 13 foot, one ton, gorilla like beast .
